New School Coursework
Through work at Parson’s New School of Design where she has been taking classes towards a Certificate in Interior Design, Lily has learned basic drafting techniques such as elevation drawing, floor plan & perspective drawing. She has also taken a space from project brief to final client presentation including lighting design, space planning & final furniture selection. Finally, Lily has worked with both AutoCAD & SketchUp to render projects.
-
Space Planning
Operating within the limits of this project brief including the existing exterior & water walls, this project asked students to design a home for their client from start to finish.
-
Character Study
Drawing upon inspiration from an existing space students were asked to create a complete picture of a space by filling in information that was otherwise unavailable. This project used principles of perspective to render a space from material palate to floor plan & elevations, to final perspective drawing.
-
Apartment Renovation in AutoCAD
This class served as an introduction to basic drafting in AutoCAD resulting in a final rendered project complete with elevations & floor plans. Finally, the class introduced students to SketchUp.
